Over the Baas cycling festival is a celebration of all things mountain bike & pedal powered. Talybont on Usk, Wales will be hosting this unique event over the weekend of the 14th to 15th of September 2019.
Explore the area on our waymarked rides, sample local food and drink, entertainment for all with bike-related challenges, pedal-powered scalectrix, demos and coaching with flatland BMX champion and local hero Matti Hemmings, test a new bike with the Specialized demo fleet or just kick back apres-ride, rehydrate and listen to some cracking local bands in the pubs. It's the local event for everyone!
This is the first year so we'll be adding all sorts of stuff over the Summer, so keep checking back in. The facebook page will be updated regularly, and please spread the word!

Riding your bike:
The Big One - Saturday
Long mountain route approx 25miles Last rider to leave
by 10am. Water/refreshments at 16 miles
Number Two - Saturday
Short mountain route approx 18 miles Last rider to leave
by 11am Water/refreshments at 10 miles
Big mountain ride - Sunday
approx 28 miles
All riders should be competent off road riders capable of being self-sufficient on a longer ride. Your bikes should be well maintained and in good working order.
Long family route approx 6 miles
Short family route approx 2 miles
All routes are waymarked and marshaled. Spot prizes will be awarded along routes too!!
Brecon Inclusive Sports Association are looking to contribute to
sending two athletes to the next Para Olympic Games. We’re
hoping for a large group to escort a group of disabled riders
to the top of the Taff Trail at Torpantau.
A group of local riders will accompany them back down the
valley while everyone else continues on a day ride.
Registration opens at 8am Saturday morning at Henderson Hall in Talybont village.
Pre-paid tickets or cash only
2-day riders - £25 or bring your ticket confirmation with you
1 day rider - £15
Under 16’s go free but must be accompanied by an adult
Festival site access (non-rider) - £2.50 per adult, kids go free
Parking is available at Gilestone Farm and Talybont Farm (£5 per day)
